A prototype for a new model
- 04-13-2015
- In order to get start with working with our next revision of the model, we need to articulate a prototype for how the mind works. Then we can from there build prototypes for how different types of minds work. I will first show an image for the new model and the show images for each of the 16 types. Previously we only had 8 types because we didn't know how to quantify a difference between individuals to 16 distinct types.
This blog post is about creating a conceptual framework..

The Secrets Behind Type and Emotions
- 03-30-2015
- "The MBTI has an idea that humanity can be divided into sixteen types. And while we at Neojungian agree that people are different, we prefer to use the terms preference, and states, because we believe personality is alot more fluid. Because we have this approach to personality types, and because we base our personality theories on neuroscience studies, we can do alot more with personality psychology than the older models can. Below, we go into the secrets behind the types, and their emotion..

Redefining MBTI's Judging and Perceiving with Neuroscience
- 03-18-2015
- Are you a Judger or a Perceiver? If you’re like me, the tests might be unable to score you properly. When I took my first MBTI test, I scored as a perceiver (INFP), but luckily, I knew professionals in the field, and they were able to help me sort out that I actually had J. Over time, I’ve always found the dichotomy problematic, and so do many others.
Redefining Execution and Processing
Execution and Processing are the two most well-researched dichotomi..

The Importance of Personality Theory in the 21th Century.
- 02-27-2015
- Learning about personality theory can help us create a society, an education system, and workplaces that mirror the needs and possibilities of the people working there, rather than trying to suppress it. We should embrace the differences that we have been born with, the innate preferences for particular mental states, the particular ways which we have developed to relate to our mental states. And the first goal should be self-respect - respect towards your self and an appreciation of your differ..

A New Way Of Looking At HSP
- 02-26-2015
- I haven't found many studies on HSP and it's impact on neuroscience. But I have found networks that I believe play a key role in the HSP trait. The combined use of the Mentalization network, the neocortex, and the prefrontal areas of the brain, together with the task-negative network, episodic memories, and other concepts seem to be very important to those that identify as HSP. In this video, I take forward some descriptors that I think are common for most HSP:

Searching for the Jungian Functions
- 02-20-2015
- Jungian functions is a collection of complex concepts which is hard to define the semantics for, mostly because they have never been defined in a precise way. Defining semantics are an important aspect of the work with the Neojungian Typology, because if there is no testable definition then the theory can never get empirical evidence, and that is something all Jungian theories lack. Below I will list different semantical definitions of Jungian functions and after that try to summarize and finall..

Abstract, Organic, Concrete and Mechanic types

- Abstract Types
Important concepts: The mentalization network, the neocortex, association memories.
Abstract Association is involved in tasks that require us to be consciously aware of the information we're taking in, for example when you are thinking about the fact that you are thinking. It's meta-perspective on information helps when trying to understand information based on how it can be used or manipulated to mean different things. Abstract Association ..
